Welding & Fabrication
TIG and MIG welding on stainless and mild steel, from hydraulic pipework and manifold assemblies to structural repair and bespoke fabrication.
Welding sits alongside machining in almost everything we build. A bespoke cylinder needs its manifold blocks welded on and its pipework formed and run; a repaired assembly needs a cracked mount rebuilt before it goes back into service. Because the welding bay and the machine shop are the same workshop, we can weld, then machine the welded assembly back to size and finish — rather than sending it out and hoping the tolerances survive the journey.
We work in stainless steel and mild steel, TIG for the work that has to be clean and controlled and MIG where deposition and strength matter more than appearance. On pressure-carrying and load-bearing work we prepare properly, control distortion, and machine sealing faces after welding so that flanges still seal.

Describe the part or the fault and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth repairing. If it is not, we will say so.

Controlled, clean welds on stainless steel and thin-wall material where appearance, penetration and heat input all have to be managed.
Higher-deposition welding on mild steel for structural repairs, brackets, mounts and heavier fabrication.
Pipe bending, fitting and welding for cylinder and manifold assemblies, including welded-on port blocks and valve mounting faces.
Flanges, spigots and sealing faces machined after welding so distortion is taken out and the assembly still fits and seals.
Repair of cracked mounts, worn pin bosses and damaged brackets on plant and machinery, built back up and machined to size.
One-off frames, guards, brackets, mounting arrangements and assemblies fabricated from drawing or from a description of the problem.
Tell us what you have and what has gone wrong. Include dimensions if you have them, and say if the machine is currently out of service.
Most jobs draw on more than one of these. Because everything happens in the same workshop, a part can be welded, machined and rebuilt without leaving the building.
Strip-down, assessment and rebuild of hydraulic cylinders and rams, from single-acting tipping rams to bespoke multi-port cylinders.
