Component Refurbishment
Worn and damaged components restored to serviceable condition, typically at a fraction of the cost of buying new.
Replacing a worn component is the easy answer, and often the expensive one. Lead times on assemblies for older machinery run to weeks, and for genuinely obsolete equipment the part may simply not be available at any price. Refurbishment closes that gap: the same component, measured, restored and returned to service, usually in a fraction of the time and at a fraction of the cost.
We take a repair-first look at everything that arrives. Sometimes the honest answer is that a part is beyond economic recovery, and we will tell you that plainly rather than charging for work that only delays the inevitable. More often there is a sound route back — sleeve the bore, build up and re-machine the journal, make a new shaft to run in the existing housing.

Describe the part or the fault and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth repairing. If it is not, we will say so.

Components stripped, cleaned and measured against nominal so the decision to repair or replace is based on figures rather than guesswork.
Worn bores machined and sleeved back to size, restoring bearing and seal fits in the original housing.
Built up and re-machined, or replaced with a new shaft turned to run correctly in the existing assembly.
Running surfaces restored to a finish that a seal will survive on, rather than one that will chew through a new kit.
Rebuilt, checked for fit and free movement, and returned ready to install rather than as a box of parts.
Where nothing is available to buy, we remanufacture from the worn original to keep the machine working.
Tell us what you have and what has gone wrong. Include dimensions if you have them, and say if the machine is currently out of service.
Most jobs draw on more than one of these. Because everything happens in the same workshop, a part can be welded, machined and rebuilt without leaving the building.
