Machining to drawing
Supply a CAD file or a dimensioned drawing and we will work directly to it, raising any queries on tolerance or datum before we cut metal.

CNC Milling
CNC milling for housings, manifold blocks, flanges and prismatic parts, worked to drawing or reverse-engineered from a sample.
Our CNC mill handles the prismatic side of the workshop: manifold blocks, bearing housings, flanges, mounting plates and the bracketry that holds an assembly together. Working from a CAD file, a paper drawing or the worn part itself, we produce components with repeatable hole positions and consistent finish — which is what makes a batch of five interchangeable rather than five individual fitting jobs.
Most of what we mill is tied to a repair or a bespoke build rather than volume production. That suits the way the machine is set up: quick to programme, quick to re-fixture, and economic on quantities from one upwards. If you need a single housing tomorrow rather than fifty in six weeks, that is the work we are built for.

Describe the part or the fault and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth repairing. If it is not, we will say so.

No drawing available? We measure the original component, including worn features, and produce a part that fits the assembly it has to go back into.
Drilled and tapped hydraulic porting, cross-drilling and counterbores for manifold blocks and valve mounting faces.
Bolt-hole patterns, spigots, recesses and sealing faces machined so that mating parts locate correctly first time.
Programmed once and run as needed, so a repeat order matches the first component rather than approximating it.
Nylon, PTFE and similar engineering plastics machined for seal carriers, wear rings, bushes and guides.
Tell us what you have and what has gone wrong. Include dimensions if you have them, and say if the machine is currently out of service.
Most jobs draw on more than one of these. Because everything happens in the same workshop, a part can be welded, machined and rebuilt without leaving the building.
Strip-down, assessment and rebuild of hydraulic cylinders and rams, from single-acting tipping rams to bespoke multi-port cylinders.
